Each October, the Morgantown skies become vibrant with the brilliant colors of the dozens of balloons that take to the skies in the Mountaineer Balloon Festival. After a day of dreary skies, the wind and rain let up and the sky cleared long enough for the evening lift off. Perhaps next year I will get to see them light up the fairgrounds with the night lightup evnet.
